Teacher Training for Staff of Sharing Prosperity School, New Kuchingoro IDP Camp, Abuja
Thrive Ahead Project (TAP) recently hosted a two-day teacher training for staff of Sharing Prosperity School, New Kuchingoro IDP Camp, on the topic “Transformational Teachers” .
The training covered essential topics like:
• Professionalism and ethical behavior in teaching
• Collaboration and teamwork
• Commitment and consistency
• Patience and compassion
One of TAP’s mission is to break the circle of generational poverty by providing quality education to vulnerable children. The two days training provided teachers of the school with professional skills that will help them provide quality education to the children of sharing prosperity school.
The training was facilitated by Mrs Toyin Ogundele, who emphasized that teaching extends beyond academics, and teachers should be deliberate about “building transformational learners, and not intelligent fools.”
This step is significant in FLEP’s TAP project, which aims to break the circle of generational poverty, especially amongst families that have been affected by Boko Haram insurgency in the North East.
