Help Young Women Like Nancy Thrive
Nancy’s life was disrupted by terrorism in Borno State, forcing her family to flee to New Kuchingoro IDP Camp in Abuja. Like many displaced girls, her dreams were put on hold. But through FLEP’s Thrive Ahead Project (TAP), Nancy found a new path.
After one month of intensive training and five months of internship with the Navigators Nigeria, Nancy gained basic digital and administrative skills. More importantly, she received life skills training and mentorship that restored her confidence and hope for the future. Today, she is motivated to keep learning and building a better life.
Nancy’s story is not unique. Many young girls from poor and displaced communities lack access to education, skills, and opportunities. TAP was created to change this reality. Through the project, girls are equipped with practical digital skills, guided by mentors, and prepared for meaningful work and independence.
With the generous support of The Navigators International Executive Committee and the Peace, Corruption & Injustice Committee, many lives have been transformed. However, funding for the TAP project has now ended, while the need continues to grow.
You can help us keep this impact alive.
Your support will help train, mentor, and place more young girls on a path to self-reliance. The cost to support one girl through the full training and internship cycle is $500 (₦700,000).
