FLEP celebrates Christmas with 40 underserved widows with 80 of their children

As the year comes to an end, FLEP, with support from Barnmissionen organized a Christmas celebration for 40 underserved widows with 80 of their children(2 children from each household) from Diko and nearby rural communities in Niger State. The celebration was held in partnership with ElShaddai Widows Outreach, an organization that has supported widows for over 27 years. Many of these widows have been affected by insecurity, making it hard for them to farm or trade. To support their families, they received food items to ensure a memorable and nourishing Christmas for their households.

Beyond the celebration and for sustainability, the widows were empowered with training in tomato gardening and given tomato seeds to start home gardens. This will help them earn income and provide healthy meals for their children.
