Akwanga community Benefits from FLEP Transformed Livelihood Project(TLP)

Akwanga community in Nasarawa State successfully concluded the Transformed Livelihood Project (TLP) 2025, which was designed and organized by FLEP. The program provided comprehensive training to 60 young participants, equipping them with practical knowledge and skills that will empower them to enhance their lives.

During the training sessions, participants engaged in an enriching curriculum that encompassed Beekeeping and a visit to a Bee farm. Additionally, they delved into the intricacies of tomato farming and goat rearing. Furthermore, they acquired invaluable lessons in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and personal development. The community demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and active participation throughout the training process.

We were delighted to welcome the presence of Childrensmissionafrica (CMA), the project’s sponsors, and community leaders who provided invaluable encouragement to the participants to apply the acquired knowledge and skills effectively. As a subsequent step, each participant will be provided with tomato seeds for a hands-on grow assignment, which will serve as a practical assessment of their dedication and resilience. Subsequently, participants will receive goats and Beehives, and they will be integrated into mentoring groups and a cooperative society established by FLEP. This collaborative approach aims to foster long-term positive change that will not only benefit the individual participants but also contribute to the overall well-being of the entire Akwanga community.
