Hunger makes people susceptible to illness, for many families, hunger may become a severe cause of permanent physical and mental illness. The hope of reaching their full life which God has destined for them is severely threatened.

Before the outbreak of the COVID 19, many families struggle to feed, and now since the outbreak, many have lost their livelihoods – causing the struggle to double.

In early July, we have been effective at reaching 241 widows and their families in Tafawa Balewa, Bauchi state, who really need our help with the support from partners and donors. More widows need as much support they can get at times like this when things seem to be crumbling down.

According to the UN, Food is at the core of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the UN’s development agenda for the 21st century. The second of the UN’s 17 SDGs is to “End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.” Achieving this goal by the target date of 2030 will require a profound change of the global food and agriculture system.

FLEP’s mission is to ensure that the life’s of its participants are transformed in such a way that they can live their lives to the fullest, and ensuring that families have access to safe and nutritious food, through our next programme, designed to help women and youths out poverty and to live a life of dignity.
